A Mooseless Tuesday
I don’t get to see my pony boy today. Between a cold, a fever, and a thousand dollars worth of car repairs (remember the window incident? that’s part of it) I’m housebound today. I wish I could relish the day as a chance to relax, but I feel too lousy to really feel like it’s a day off. Bleh.
Oh!!! Before I forget!! I posted an update on my post from last Thursday, but the dog has been found and taken to Sac County Animal Control. She was so freaked out that they had to tranquilize her to get her in there. They evaluated her, and said she seems pretty sweet, but that she really needs to be socialized, and because of this, will go to a rescue organization rather than for general adoption when she’s released. HUGE thanks go to Sac Paws, For Paws Hospice of Tampa Bay (!!!), and Lisa Howard of the Sac Bee for helping make this happen — you guys all rock my world!! Seriously, I’m in tears over here right now… I’ve been feeling hugely guilty over taking the pictures and then driving away, but I think the fact of the matter is that if I’d just gone and called Animal Control, she’d end up just being one more stray dog in the shelter. Now she’s got another chance at a new home and family, and that makes me happier than I can even express.
Internet, you people rock my socks. :-D
ANYWAY. So today is a Mooseless Tuesday, but I thought I’d post a couple of pictures of another horse at the barn. Monty belongs to a barn friend of mine, and from what I’ve seen, he could be Moose’s long-lost brother in terms of both goofiness and sheer loveability. When I was taking pictures of him in the arena, he kept coming up to the arena fence and trying to nose me and the camera. So cute. :-D
