Goldilocks and the three cameras

Yesterday I spent most of the day down in Lathrop, playing assistant shooter for an event at the Harley Davidson dealership down there. This would have been a lot more fun if it hadn’t been the ONE RAINY DAY IN THE PAST TWO WEEKS. And let’s not even talk about Weather Channel’s upcoming 10-day forecast, which predicts nothing but PURE SUNSHINE for the next ten days… Grrr. What’s that old Will Rogers saying? Everyone always complains about the weather, but no one ever does anything about it.

Anyway, I’ll post a couple of pics later this week that I took there, but in the meantime, I thought I’d post this cameraphone shot of our cameras. You know we’re bored when we start taking pictures of our cameras. Heh. :-)

Canon Rebel XTi, Canon 50D, Canon 5D

From left to right are my Canon Rebel XTi with a 50mm f/1.4 lens, my 50D with a 70-200mm f/2.8L lens, and Oliver's (the head photographer) Canon 5D with a 24-70mm f/2.8L lens, Canon Speedlite flash, and battery grip. My cameraphone felt distinctly inferior taking this shot. :-)

Canon Rebel XTi and Canon 50D

The one on the right weighs at least triple the one on the left. I'm trying to remember why I ever got frustrated in Europe about the weight of the camera gear I was lugging around. All I had was the XTi with my 11-16mm, 28-135mm, and 50mm lenses!! Seems so lightweight now when I think about it.
