A little running music
I know I’m always looking for excuses to cop out of my morning runs, but on a beautiful morning like yesterday, stopping to take pictures wasn’t so much an excuse as a necessity. I had my cameraphone with me (acting as a music player and route tracker)as I ran down through Old Sacramento and across the Tower Bridge to Raley Field, and hey, I was going to stop and enjoy the view anyway because it was just too pretty not to, so why not take some pictures? I just can’t get over how gorgeous of a morning it was this morning — it was one of those mornings where I can’t imagine why I’d want to live somewhere else.
So anyway, here are some of the pics I took this morning, and just for fun, I thought I’d throw in some song lyrics from my running playlist for good measure. Just to warn you, I’ve got a bit of an eclectic taste in music, so don’t be hatin’ on my odd song choices. (Josh, this means you!) :-)
Feel free to guess any or all of the songs in the comments section. At the end of the day (or whenever I remember) I’ll post a comment with the song artists and titles in them. :-)
- Let it rise about the four winds
Caught up in the heavenly sound
Let praises echo from the towers of cathedrals
To the faithful gathered underground
Of all the songs sung from the dawn of creation
Some were meant to persist
Of all the bells rung from a thousand steeples
None rings truer than this
