This turned out to be a more interesting evening than I’d thought it would be

So here I was, just beginning to write a quick blog post with a picture from tonight’s Second Saturday walk around midtown Sacramento, when I heard 8 shots fired in a row. I looked up and said, “Gunshots.” Without looking up, John responded, “Firecrackers.” Then 4 more shots. Nope, gunshots. Turns out four people got shot the next block over from us, 1 fatally. Whoops. Scary and sad.

With that said, here’s a picture from tonight. Incidentally, this was the spot where someone got killed about two hours later. Yeah. Scary.
